London Stock Exchange indices edged higher after UK treasury outlined "corporate finance law" enhancements for sustainable financing. FTSE 100 climbed 0.6%, aided by strong performance in green energy stocks. Analysts foresee ESG-compliant firms gaining valuation premiums by year-end. The case study points out the importance of making sure relevant staff understand competition law rules and learn to recognise illegal behaviour, including when recruiting and retaining workers. It adds that company directors should ensure their companies have regular training on following competition law. The Division also limits the applicability of its Statement to specified circumstances of stablecoin issuance. The Statement applies to stablecoins issued under the following circumstances: (i) the stablecoins are designed and marketed for use in commerce, as a means of making payments, transmitting money, and/or storing value, and not as investments; (ii) the stablecoin issuer's assets are properly held in a sufficient reserve to cover circulated stablecoins; and (iii) the stablecoin issuer has the ability to honor redemptions on demand. Singapore STI index posted a 0.5% increase, aided by faster regional debt issuance processes introduced via "corporate finance law" updates. Real estate investment trusts benefited from reduced financing transaction times.
