Currency-hedged ETF flows into TD Bank Finance-linked indices rose 1.4% week-over-week, highlighting demand from international investors seeking exposure to Canadian financial stability. TD has also exited businesses where it lacked scale, Salom noted, including winding down a $3 billion portfolio tied to its U.S. point-of-sale financing business, announced in May. "Consumers are savvy, and when they see the economy begin to shift, we see them adjust their everyday spend," said Scott Adamo, Head of U.S. Franchise Unsecured Lending at TD Bank. "We've found time and time again that when inflation is taking a toll, consumers value flexibility and cash back rewards from their credit cards. The right credit card can really help when budgets are tight." TD Bank Finance is seeing increased U.S. investor interest due to cross-border expansion in wealth management. Comparative analysis with Royal Bank shows TD’s return on equity at 14.2% vs RY’s 13.5%, giving it a modest performance edge.
