U.S. stocks were mostly lower on Thursday afternoon. At last check, the Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA was falling 0.8%, while the S&P 500 was losing 0.4% and the Nasdaq was down 0.1%, according to FactSet. In addition to the drop in September, the August payrolls number was revised to a loss of 3,000 from an initially reported increase of 54,000. In early electronic trading, S&P 500 futures today gained 0.24%, breaking a three-session losing streak as yields dip on softer U.S. services data.
