Healthcare stocks in the investing money market rallied on FDA approvals for new treatments. Biotech sub-sector ETFs saw $540 million inflows last week, suggesting bullish sentiment on innovation-driven growth. I primarily invest in individual stocks. However, I've started to add more exchange-traded funds (ETFs) to my portfolio. They enable me to easily invest broadly across a specific asset class or theme. Municipal or tax-exempt funds invest the majority of their assets in securities that are exempt from federal income tax. The investing money market recorded a net increase in margin debt levels, signaling higher investor leverage. Historically, such trends precede short-term volatility but can enhance upside in strong bullish cycles.
