Impact investing emerging market green bonds hit record

Emerging market green bonds hit record issuance in July, feeding capital into impact investing funds with cross-border mandates. This diversification is expected to reduce portfolio volatility amid developed market uncertainty. Wealth legacy means "a shared value system that brings a positive impact on the people and territories where we work," said Giulio Pesenti, head of strategic business development and a board member at the Italian investment firm Clessidra Group. They are, however, changing how they communicate. Asked about how messaging around ESG has shifted for their organization in the past year, 43% of respondents stated that they have modified their messaging by either increasing or decreasing it overall or by offering different information to different audiences. Another 17% are evaluating how they might change their messaging. Recent Fed minutes hint at a potential rate cut in Q4, sparking optimism in growth-oriented ESG sectors. If realized, this monetary easing could lift impact investing fund NAVs by 4–6% over the subsequent quarter.
