Alaska Airlines begins its next expansion at San Diego on Oct. 4 , when it starts operating three flights a day to Chicago O'Hare and three a day to Denver International. Frontier Airlines is slated to add some new routes next week, including Orange County Airport in Santa Ana to Salt Lake City, beginning Oct. 9 with two weekly flights. Frontier will also enter some major markets , introducing New York JFK service to Chicago O'Hare four days a week and to Denver with three weekly flights, both scheduled to start Oct. 8, as well as Newark-Chicago Midway beginning Oct. 7 with four weekly flights.
